What JobOS does

JobOS helps job seekers save job postings, organize applications, manage a master resume, and generate tailored resumes. The Chrome extension captures job-posting details only when you use it on a supported job page.

Information we process

JobOS may process account details you provide, authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in, and job-posting content such as title, company, URL, and description when you choose to save a role. Resume content that you add to JobOS is also processed so the product can generate tailored outputs for you.

How information is used

We use this information to operate your private JobOS workspace, sync captured jobs to your account, generate resumes, and support billing or account-related workflows. We do not sell personal data and we do not use captured job content for advertising.

Chrome extension permissions

The extension uses activeTab, scripting, tabs, storage, and context menu permissions to detect the current supported job page, recover your signed-in JobOS session from an open dashboard tab, and store your selected environment locally. Host permissions are limited to supported job boards and JobOS domains.

Sharing and retention

JobOS shares data only with service providers required to run the product, such as hosting, authentication, billing, and AI providers used to fulfill product features. Data is retained for as long as your account remains active or as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations.
